While he is a NY DJ,
this young man’s DJ career truly took form while
in college up in Boston, MA. DJ Lil’ Mike got into
the DJ game at a rather late age. In 1996, as a 19-year
old sophomore at Boston University, Lil’ Mike started
copping his first pieces of vinyl and his dream of becoming
a DJ started to become a reality. After copping his first
1200’s later that year, he made a real effort to
improve his skills and obtaining all the essential vinyl
that he would need to truly rock a crowd. His first real
break occurred early in January 1998, where he was the
main DJ at a college party thrown by La Familia Entertainment
at the Spot nightclub. From this point on, Lil’ Mike
got the recognition as a true party DJ and received countless
gigs from that point on.
